Financial services giant Visa Inc. is launching consultancy and advisory services on cryptocurrencies for its clients in a bid to boost the adoption of digital tokens.

Visa said its consulting and analytics division would cater to financial institutions, retailers, and other companies regarding the rollout of cryptocurrency offerings or the expansion of non-fungible tokens.
Visa has already enrolled American lender UMB as a client under its crypto advisory offering, in line with its efforts to dive deeper into the crypto space, after processing some $3.5 billion in digital currency transactions from October 2020 to September 2021.
Visa European Crypto Lead Nikola Plecas said the firm now allows clients to spend their digital tokens at over 80 million merchants, which some of the leading exchanges have millions or tens of millions of users.
The financial giant is optimistic that its consultancy services will boost the adoption of Bitcoin and other digital tokens moving forward.
