Euro Area Construction Output Rises 1.6% in October

Production in the construction sector in the euro area increased by 1.6% month on month and increased by 1.4% in the entire European Union.

Euro Stoxx 50 down -0.91%, EUR USD down -0.10%

Building construction in the Eurozone rose by 1.8% on a monthly basis, and civil engineering rose by 0.5%.

Among the member states, the largest monthly increase in production in building construction was reported in France, where output expanded by 4.9%.

The largest decrease in construction output was recorded in Slovenia, where construction production fell 9.2% month on month.

On a yearly basis, production in construction rose 4.4% in the Eurozone and increased by 4.2% in the EU.

The largest annual increases in construction output were recorded in Hungary at 14.5%, with the largest decreases recorded in Romania at -15.7%
