The announcement notes that the initial payouts will be done using USDC stablecoins based on Polygon and will be supported on Polygon-compatible wallets.
Twitter will reportedly be the first firm to test the feature by allowing the use of cryptocurrencies in compensating content creators for users of the company’s monetization products.
The payments service providers say that more rails and payout currencies will be integrated with time. Cryptocurrency exchange FTX is currently using Stripe to create onboarding and identity verification features.
