Meta Unveils Fastest AI Supercomputer to Pave the Way for Metaverse

Meta has announced a metaverse AI supercomputer, set to be completed mid this year to enhance its steps in the immersive world.

The company says the Research SuperCluster would be the fastest supercomputer in the world when it is completed mid this year.

The company remarks that the advancement of AI is dependent on strong computing power to the tune of quintillions of operations per second.

Facebook CEO and co-founder Mark Zuckerberg commented that the technology would power AI models to understand multiple languages.

RSC would incorporate different languages for augmented computer vision, speech recognition, and natural language processing.

DeFi analyst, Camilla Russo, compares Facebook’s new machine to the Ethereum protocol that is seen as a large open-source supercomputer.

Other industry experts including, the VP of Intel’s accelerated computing systems and graphics group Raja Koduri, have underscored the need for improved computing power in metaverse technology.
