Happy Trend is the latest offering from the Happy Forex team. It is a robot that specializes in volatile markets. This fully automated system works on the Metatrader 4 trading platform and is suitable for both new and experienced Forex traders.
Not much is known about the Happy Forex company, apart from the fact that they have manufactured other Forex EAs like Happy Neuron, Happy Breakout, and Happy Power. We don’t know where this company is based out of, and what kind of experience the traders and developers have.
Happy Trend Strategies and Tests
This robot uses the news filter to trade in high volatility. Only one trade is opened at a time, and proper trend shifts are captured with the help of money management principles. The market entries are extremely precise, and each trade is accompanied by a dynamic stop loss and take profit. According to the vendor, it can easily handle large client accounts.
Happy Trend trades in USD/JPY, USD/CHF, GBP/USD, and AUD/USD. It works on different operating systems like Linux, Mac OS, as well as Windows 7, 8, and 10. You can use micro, mini, or standard accounts with this robot. The vendor recommends using a minimal deposit of $100.
This EA supports ECN brokers and does not use hedge, grid, or martingale strategies. That being said, the vendor does not provide any actual explanation for the trading strategy. This comes as a huge disappointment, especially when so many traders look for technical details pertaining to a trading strategy since it helps them assess a system’s profitability.
This backtest was conducted for the USD/JPY pair, starting from January 2020 to December 2020. An initial deposit of $1000 was used for this test, and from this, a total net profit of $352.57 was generated. Out of 143 trades, 122 were won with a win rate of 85.31%.
The relative drawdown was 9.38%, while the profit factor was 1.90. During this backtest, there were 18 maximum consecutive wins and only 2 maximum consecutive losses.
Happy Trend Live Trading Account Review
This is a live trading account for Happy Trend that is verified by the FXStat website. Only 91 trades have been placed through this account, out of which 73 have been won. Although the win rate is quite impressive, we cannot assign too much importance to it, since the trading history is so short.
We can see that a total of 157.90 pips have been generated through this account to date, and a small profit of $41.72 has been made using a deposit of $1000. Although the drawdown is quite low at 5.36, the trading results are not too impressive overall. The average profit and average loss for this account are $2.41 and -$7.70, respectively. Since the average loss exceeds the average win, we can assume that although infrequent, the losses can be significantly higher while trading with this robot in the live market.
Pricing
The vendor is currently offering Happy Trend at a 30% discount. By paying 299 Euros, you can get 2 trading licenses, along with the EAs Happy Forex Full Pack containing 10 EAs. For 5 licenses, you need to pay $499.
These EAs include Happy Frequency, Happy Gold, Happy MartiGrid, Happy Market Hours, and others. A 30-day money-back guarantee is provided for this product. The pricing packages are not exactly cheap compared to the market average.
Is Happy Trend robot a scam?
Although the vendor does not make any unrealistic promises on the official website, Happy Trend has certain shortcomings that cannot be ignored. It is a bit overpriced for a system with a short trading history. Besides, very little information is available on the trading strategy and the parent company, which makes us think that it might be a scam.
We were not able to find any customer reviews for Happy Trend on websites like Quora, Myfxbook, Trustpilot, and Forexpeacearmy. Clearly, this robot does not have much of a reputation in the market as of now.
Other Notes
When you purchase this robot, you get a detailed user guide in English that can assist you with the installation process. New upgrades and updates are provided to all users for free. The license provided to you is valid for the first month, and following this, it is automatically renewed for a lifetime.
Summary
In the end, we would like to say that investing in Happy Trend would be a waste of your hard-earned money. It is simply too risky to invest in a robot with such unimpressive trading results and short trading history. We don’t know exactly what kind of strategy this system uses, so there is always the risk of suffering from losses while trading with it.
