The firm notes that ‘Coinbase Pay’ will simplify participation in decentralized finance, token swapping, and the trading of non-fungible tokens.

Users must select the currency they wish to add to their addresses, input the amount, and confirm the order. The firm adds that the process is now simplified away from the switching between applications.

The offering exempts users from the need for a Coinbase.com account to operate the Coinbase wallet. Self-custody wallets can be connected to the accounts before using the on-ramp service.

Coinbase Pay allows users to store their private keys despite being offered by a centralized exchange.

The firm notes that the previous version where users who wanted to fund their accounts had to navigate Coinbase.com and make manual transfers was cumbersome and risky.
