Satellite startup Kepler Communications has raised $60 million to fund U.S expansion and strengthen in-space data communications.

Kepler’s funding round was led by Tribe Capital, with more funds from Canaan Partners and Addition Capital.
Kepler targets “just over 200 satellites” in space to fully operationalize its network by 2023
The startup already boasts 15 satellites and is currently building at least 10 per month at the Toronto base.
The company had about 80 workers at the start of this year and plans to have about 150 by the end of 2021.
Since its founding in 2015, Kepler has now obtained $90 million financing.
