BTC is down 6.44%, ETH is down 8.58%, while CMG is down 0.86%.
Under the partnership, customers will be able to use the application to pay for food items in its 3,000 Chipotle restaurants in the United States. It currently supports some 98 cryptocurrencies.
Customers will first have to download the Gemini or SPEDN application, which both store digital assets. These can then be used and tapped in-store to make the necessary transactions.
Chipotle will join other restaurants which already accept cryptocurrency, such as Subway, which accepted Bitcoin payments in 2013, and Pizza Hut in Venezuela, which accepted crypto in 2020.
Chipotle earlier established a virtual restaurant in Roblox in 2021, where players could dress up avatars.
