Half a million wallets have been added to the Cardano blockchain so far this year, in line with the growing adoption of its decentralized finance space.

Data released by Cardano Fans Stake Pool on Google’s Data Studio indicate that the blockchain now has 3.201 million ADA wallets, up from the 2.666 million recorded when the year started.
The number of wallets on the platform increased by 453,121 in the first three months of the year, indicating that the blockchain saw an average of 5,000 wallets being added per day.
Cardano recorded a 1,200% annual growth in the number of wallets in 2021, bringing the total to 2.5 million in December last year from an estimated 190,000 in the same month of 2020.
The percentage of addresses with native ADA tokens worth between $100 and $100,000 has also surged to a fresh record high.
