BNB is up 3.75%, while BTC is up 0.96%.
The Autorité des Marchés Financiers (AMF) included Binance France SAS in its latest list of registered digital asset providers in the country, following an evaluation of the firm’s reputation and the competence of its managers and owners.
The AMF said the registration comes after a check on Binance’s compliance with regulations involving anti-money laundering and efforts to address terrorism financing moving forward.
Binance Chief Executive Officer Changpeng Zhao said French regulations ensure that anti-money laundering and fir and proper requirements meet high standards for firms to be registered in the country.
The exchange earlier secured an in-principal approval to offer its services in Abu Dhabi last month. It also bagged similar approvals in the Middle East for Bahrain and Dubai.
Changpeng Zhao in November unveiled a 100-million euro initiative, “Objective Moon,” which seeks to develop the blockchain and cryptocurrency ecosystem in the European market.
