Tesla has posted a number of job listings for new Charging Infrastructure Design Managers who will coordinate the deployment of the Supercharger projects, from feasibility to permitting, construction, and closeout.

Seven of the positions were added in the Southwest alone, in Phoenix, Denver, Albuquerque, Oklahoma City, Austin, Dallas, and Houston. Ideal candidates are those with experience managing infrastructure projects, preferably up to 30 projects at a time.

The development comes as Tesla plans to welcome other electric vehicles in its Supercharger network by the end of the year. It also plans to allow other EV owners to download the Tesla application to gain access to charging stations.

Tesla ended the last quarter with 26,900 Superchargers at 2,966 stations across the globe. It targets more than double the size of its network in Austin, with more stations in the pipeline in Houston and San Antonio.

Tesla also plans to offer adapters at its stations for electric vehicle owners in markets such as North America, where the company is using its proprietary plug.
